This past weekend of July •24 and 25 WillN was a contes- tant at the Boticavgen fiddle contest winning 2nd place in his age group contest. Also travelling with Willis to Bobcay<en were his wife Ella. Alt in and (Tara Stat - ton. of Grand Bend. Lester and Betty ltesjardine, of Thedforit ('arl McNaughton of Lucan and Mrs. Marian Horner of Parkhill area. During this weekend out- ing Willis and Ella celebrated their 23rd wed- ding anniversary. In the Tri County T -ball news this week McGillivray played at Shipka. Score McGillivray 36. Shipka 27. Hugh and Annie Morenz attended the baptism ser- -A vice. Sunday at Hensall United Church for their great. great nephew. Gerald Steven Corbett. A reception and lunch followed at the baby's parents home Steven and Janine Corbett, for about 20 relatives. Senior's bus trip Wray and Madeline Sweitzer. Ferman and Leota Snyder. The noon meal stop was at It* the Stone Crock in Elmira with shopping stops atBrox's Olde Town Village, and the Sap Backet, home of heirloom quilts. The supper meal stop was at the Ponderosa in Strat- ford. with a drive through the Park and Festival grounds afterwards. Personals Visitors with Bonnie and Wayne Ratz. and family, last week were Bonnie's grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. Scoval Montieth, of Caribou, Maine. an aunt, uncle and cousin. Mr. and Mrs. Claude Mulherin and Jeffrey, of Grand Falls. and a brother and sister-in-law and family, Mr. and Mrs: Lance Steward., Katrina and Jill of Sudbury. Alberdina and Herman Westerhof. their daughter Ginie and friend Hans. of Dalfsen, Holland. arrived Saturday for a three week holiday with Alberdina's brother and family. Dick and Annie Zielman. The Pickering and Bullock families had a mis- cellaneous shower for Anne Bullock and Brian Bullock. Brian is being married in August and Anne in September. It was held at the church. Doris Eagleson attended a shower in honour of Tom Hat'ter's coming wedding and Elizabeth Walper and I attended a shower at Byron in honour of Doug's coming wedding. The Thompson family held a shower recently for Brian Bullock and his fiancee. Dinner guests of Jim and Doris Eagleson on Sunday were Rose Isaac of Chateau Gardens and Lloyd and Vera Dive of Parkhill. Earl Bullock had the mis- fortune to pull a muscle in his hip recently and has now returned home from Srrathroy hospital where he was a patient. Many people from the area attended the wedding dance at the Exeter Rec Centre on Saturday evening in honour of Mr. and .Mrs. Dwayne Ritchie (nee Mona Hodgins). "Chapter Two" proved to be quite popular and was well attended by people in the area. It was the second play of the season at Huron Country Playhouse. The sympathy of the com- munity is extended to the family of the late Jerry Bar- dawill. Several ladies from Greenway enjoyed the Institute trip on Wednesday. First they toured the home for the mentally han- dicapped at Goderich. Next they visited the place where many local papers are printed and saw one being printed. The Nuclear Station at Douglas Point proved . quite interesting. Finally they stopped at both Mills at Blyth and next to the Zurich Hotel where a delicious dinner was eaten.
