Rev. Burton Crowe kept
his listeners in rapt attention
as he delivered his sermon in
the United Church on Sunday
morning using as a text
"Blessed are the pure in
heart for they shall see
God."
Jesus is the dominant
figure in history and He was
speaking directly out of His
own experience. In choosing
His disciples He saw divine
possibilities in plain people.
God was vitally real to
Jesus.
How real is God to us? We
face the mystery of the
Universe - the sun, moon,
stars and see nature in all its
spring beauty followed by
summer and a bountiful
harvest.
The flowers in the church
.Irs. Stella Dixon.
were in memory of the late
Penny Smith was the
organist for the service The
month of August is vacation
month and there will be no
services in the United
Church until the first Sunday
in September.
