appreciation to everyone.
Everyone retired to the
church basement for a
smorgasbord pot luck lunch
and a social time.
A few games were held for
the young children. Winners
were 4 and under Tim
Parker: 5 to 8 was Mark
Lynn and for 9 -12 Glenn
Grubb.
The winners of kick the
slipper were Patrick Jeffery
for 7 years and under and
Andy Grubb for 8 - 12 years.
Several relays were also
held for the children.
Bake sale
The Elimville United
Church Women will be hav-
ing a bake sale at the
sidewalk sales in Exeter,
Thursday. Everyone is
reminded to have their bak-
ing ready at 9 o'clock that
morning.
The Elimville congrega-
tion is busy painting the out-
side of the church at this
time.

At Dashwood Lutheran
Bible School a success

Vacation Bible School at
Zion Lutheran Church was
very successful with an
average attendance of 60.
Parents. relatives and
friends attended an in-
teresting program of skits
and singing Thursday even-
ing. Following this everyone
was invited to the education
room to view the crafts and
have a light lunch.
Superintendent, Mrs.
Shiela Miller said it had been
a great success and was hap-
py to have a fine group of
teachers and helpers, name-

We had a much needed
rain on Saturday evening
after missing the other rain
during the week. Many
people are on vacation and
the weather has been per-
fect.
Mr. and Mrs. Harold
Clement of Dearborn
Michigan were recent
visitors with the English's.
Mr. and Mrs. Morley
Eagleson and family and Mr
and Mrs. Ken Eagleson and
family have been camping
near Port Franks.
Joanne Walper spent a few
holidays at home before
leaving for Montreal to visit
her brother, Keith.

On Sunday we atttended a
miscellaneous shower in
London for Cathy Harnden
who is being married in
August. It was held at the
home of Don and Grace
Newey on Oak Park. Drive.
Contests were given by Carol
Newey. Ruth Trevithick and
Colleen Newey assisted the
hostess at lunch time. About
thirty relatives attended.
Several ladies from the
area are going on the
Insitute Bus Trip to Douglas
Point and other places to the
north on Wednesday.
