Area man at Fellowship
Clarence Frost, of Lucan,

first week of July when he
took a bus tour to Fu11 Gospel

national convention in
Philadelphia.
After leaving London June
29, the tour stopped for a
sight seeing trip in Niagra
Falls, to see both Canadian
and American views.
On arrival in Corning,
N.Y. they toured the Corning
Glass works.
Ground floor has a lot of
aluminum,while the top floor
is glass. There is a glass
museum as well as the
modern glass works. They
spent the night in Pittsburgh.
Tuesday June 30 they went
for breakfast in an old
station made into a fine
restaurant. In Philadelphia
the tour took them to the
State Buildings, to see the
House of Commons,
Business house, and the
Senate Chambers.
Afterwards they toured a
museum where many
transportation vehicles were
on display.There were stage
coaches, sleighs, very old
cars among them.
July 1 was a time of
shopping before going to the
Civic Centre for the start of
the 28th convention of the
F.G.M.F.I. July 2 the group

Couples lead
UC service
The Couples' club mem-
bers were in charge of the
Sunday morning service at
Lucan United Church. The
club had invited the "Living
Water Gospel Singers"
group to take the service.
This group, including Allen
Melanson, Lucan, Rob
McLaughlin, pianist, Rob
McIntosh, Norm Sawlor and
John O'Brian, guitarist, has
travelled from coast to coast
and into the United States
singing their gospel music,
some songs written by
members of the group. The
congregation was asked to
sing along in several num-
bers.
The songs were in-
terspersed with words of
inspiration by each member.
It was truly a wonderful
experience.
Ed. Melanson opened the
service and made the few
necessary announcements.
A "love" offering was
received to assist the group
with their travelling ex-
penses.
A "minute talk" was given
by Mabel Froats touching on
the need for our con-
tributions to the World
Development and Relief
Fund to help in various
places in a needy world.
The flowers in the Sanc-
tuary were from the funeral
of the late Miss Ethel
Marshall and the prayers of
the congregation are ex-
tended to her loved ones.
They were distributed to
shut-ins during the af-
ternoon.
Next Sunday, July 19, the
service will be taken by the
I Committee of Stewards and
the following Sunday, the
26th, the Clandeboye Sunday
School will lead in worship.
Following the service,
members of the U.C.W. and
the committee of Stewards
met to confirm plans for
painting the Northex and the
Christine Education wing.
This was done and will
have commenced by the
time you read this notice - we
hope! It will certainly give
these parts of our Church a
much needed "face Lift".

Revival Centre
Sunday morning Gary
Schegel led the singing. Judy
Henry announced there are
130 children enrolled in the
community Vacation Bible
School. Rev. Ray and Becky
Brewster sang "Jesus is
Lord of All ."
Rev. Brewster ministered
from Psalm 40:1-8 which
tells us to wait patiently for
deliverance from trouble by
God's Power. Verse 3 says
David had a new song
because deliverance had
come.
It does not matter what
degree sin is, it is always
horrible. A person stuck in
sin is like one in quicksand.
God can bring us out of this
pit and put us on the rock
that is Jesus.
After the service Rev. Ray
Brewster announmced to the
congregation that he and his
wife, Becky, felt called to go
to the mission field.
About the last Sunday of
October they plan to be
leaving to start a mission -
work in the Dominican
Republic. They plan to cross
to minister in Haiti to help
out in the work there.

bright, sunny and warm for
the Open air service at
Market Square park. Rev.
RayBrewster opened the
service by leading chorus
singing.

Gospel Singers" opened
their singing with "Just to
Know". Each member of the
group of five told how when
they accepted Jesus, they
became a new creation.

salvation a gift, before they
sang "I owe it all to Him."
