CREDITON
Plans are being completed
for a special Homecoming
celebration at Zion United
Church in Crediton.
It will be held Sunday, July
26 with morning worship ser-
vice at 10 a.m. and an after-
noon program beginning at 2
p.m.
Rev. Brian Elder will be in
charge of the morning ser-

A picnic lunch will be held
in the township hall at 12
noon and everyone is asked
to bring their own lunch.
Paper plates, plastic
cutlery, coffee and freshle

The afternoon program in
the church auditorium will
include a sing song and a dis-
cussion of the history of the
community.
A display of pictures and
other articles pertaining to
the history of the community
will be set up.
Anyone wishing to add to
this collection may do so by
contacting Rev. Brian Elder
or Irene Haugh. They will be
returned after the
Homecoming.
The Crediton FIremen's
Association competed• In
another water hockey game
this past Sunday. The games
were held in Ilderton, as
part of Orange Day
celebrations. Those com-
peting for Crediton were:
Doug Lightfoot, Robert Mar-
tin, Jim Finkbeiner, and
Brian Elder. Parkhill took
home the trophy.
A reminder that the CFPL
Super Stars will be playing
the famous Crediton
Cowgirls, this Saturday
night at the park. A dance
will follow in the pavillon
with Spirit, providing the
music. The game and dance
are sponsored by the
Crediton Parks Board.
With the summer season
in full swing, I realize that it
is hard to find the time to
call your correspondent
and report any visitor or
visits.
I will be setting aside a
special time each Monday
from 4 until 7 p.m. to receive
any news which you may
wish to have put in the
paper. I cannot write any
news unless you report it to
me. I know that I can rely on
all of you for a good column
each week.
ENJOYING A DRINK - Brent Ratz enjoys a refreshment with
the help of Barbara Ratz at Sunday's exhibition ball game in
bashwood between CFPL radio and the Dashwood UPC slo

WHAT TO DO
WHEN A DEATH OCCURS OUT-OF-TOWN
If you're ever involved in arranging a funeral for
someone who dies out of town, you should contact a
local funeral director who will make the
arrangements with a funeral director in the city
where the death occurred. Our membership in
professional organizations gives us contact with
many highly qualified funeral service people across
North America. We'll take the necessary steps to
have the deceased brought home. We will confer
with you at long distance or with other family
members locally to plan the funeral. It is important
to remember to call your home town funeral director
FIRST. This will avoid duplication of effort fees.
If you wish further details on out-of-town
arrangements, please contact us.
