Christmas Eve
BY STACY SOMSRVILLE
Grade 4
J.A.D. McCurdy
December' the 24th was the
date,
The elves were all working
with a mate.
They were making a present,
That day was very pleasent.
All presents were wrapped
And the reindeer all
strapped. •
There were blinding snow
flurries,
Plus a head full of last
minute worries..4
Santa had his long list,
Damp with cold mist.
Down in planet Earth,
Were stockings hanging on
the hearth,
The sun was sinking,
Christmas tree lights were
blinking.
Jack Frost was on window
panes,
Santa's bag full of candy
canes. •
Sanfwwas ready to go, •
Off he went with one last
"Ho, Ho."
