Bible Society recognized
at Centralia UC service
By MRS. FRED BOWDEN
In the United Church. Sun-
day the service was in
recognition of the work of
the Canadian Bible Society.
: "The Living Word of God"
was the topic chosen by Mr.
Paul Schott for his sermon.
What is the Bible? — It is
not just a book of history but
should be a personal posses-
sion forming the chain that
links us to our Saviour.
It is a book of faith
providing light for the lost,
comfort for the aged and
grace for the Christian. It -is
the book Of life and if we
read the entire book there
are references to meet all
our needs. •
The choir sang an anthem
and the children's story was
told by Mrs: Schott.
"White Gift Sunday" will
be observed this coming
Sunday.
