"Thes'e. Met the Master..."
Rev. Keith Brown spoke on
"A Blind Man Meets the
Master," at morning service
in Lucan U.C. Few who were
helped by Jesus were called
-.by.name,-but•the, biirid`mat -`-
sitting by the road out of
Jericho. was mentioned as
being . Bartimaeus. so he
must have been important,
either -before or after his
healing. -
He knew of the beatings of
Jesus so when he heard the
crowd coming and 'heard
them say Jesus was there he
.called and kept on calling in
spite of the-. crowd telling
him to be- silent. His per-
sistence paid off and Jesus
did hear him and asked that
he be brought to Him. He
asked the question "What -do
you want from M?"
Because of his faith he was
made to see and he began to
follow Jesus
Mr. Brown said, . Jesus_ .
-comes-ttf u`s o ay as:he did
to.the blind man. asking the
same question. -Ready. will-
ing and eager to help, Christ
comes to us today. If we
need healing or comfort in
any way we need. just ask
for it. with faith.
The junior choir under the
direction of Helen Brown
