NEW BUILDING•FOR BAKESHOP — The ARC Industries bakeshop has moved to o new loco-
. tion just to the north of the present building. Purchasing some goods from Lois Rueger is Mary
McConn_ of Mt. Carmel. The bakeshop will have its official opening on December 7.

Charter members present
for Dashwood anniversary

Dashwood Women's
Institute celebrated the 25th
anniversary Tuesday with
past and present members
gathering for a smorgasbord
turkey supper. Following
supper, Mrs. Eben Weigand.
president, presided and
welcomed all. Mrs. Irvin
Rader, first president
recalled the struggles.
mistakes and triumphs
during the years. She called
on Mrs. Arnold Kuntz, first
secretary, for the minutes of
the first meeting, March 1953
and the roll call. Mrs. Rader
ado introduced Mrs. Ken-
neth Johns, Exeter, who as
district president had
organized the Dashwood
W.I. She spoke of the work of.
Institutes here and around
the world. She was thanked
by Mrs. Ray Rader and
presented a gift.
Mrs. Syd Baker was in
charge of the Memoriam and
read the names of nine
former members. Mrs.
Glenn Webb presented .gifts
to 10 charter members, Mrs.
Mervyn Tiernan. Mrs.
Martha Miller, Mrs. Harold
Kellerman, ,Mrs. Irvin
Rader, Mrs. Gordon Bender,
Mrs. Louella Tieman, Mrs.
Greta Schade, Mrs. Letta
Taylor, Mrs. Syd Baker and
Mrs. Ralph Weber.
Jean Weigand sang an
appropriate solo. Nit's.
Gordon Kraft received the
prize for the lucky plate.
Court whist followed with
winners Mrs. Alphonse
Grenier and Mrs. Irvin
Devine. Anniversary cake
and coffee were served
A brief business meeting
followed with Mrs. Weigand
giving a report of the con-
vention at the Banqueter,
*London. Donations were
made, to South Huron
Hospital Auxiliary. Dash-
wood Men's club Christmas
party for the children; War
Memorial hospital and
Family and-Chiidren's
Services. Mrs. Gordon
Bender received' the
president's prize for the
wedding. anniversary
nearest meeting date. Each
one who had held an office
during the years received a
corsage. It was a most
rewarding evening.
Church elects officers
Zion Lutheran church held
their annual voter's meeting
Sunday., President, Ron
Merrier, presided and Pastor
Mellecke opened the meeting
with a short meditation. The
nominating committee was
in charge of the election or
officers as follows:
