Downing of Chatham. The funeral was Monday from the Haskett Funeral Home. Lucan, with Inter- ment in- St` James Cemetery. Clandeboye. The St. James A.C.W., of which Mrs. Henry was a former active member for many years; served. lunch follow- ing the funeral. • • At Institute Convention, Mrs. Harold Hardy and Mrs. Art Hodgins attended the London Area Women's Institute Annual Convention on Wednesday and Thursday -held at the Banqueter. south of London. The theme for the conven- tion -was. "The Family in our Changing Society." At the banquet. Wednesday evening. the guest speaker, _Miss Angela Armitt, Head of - Extension, University of Western Ontario. spoke on "Communication" The entertainment was by the Sweet Adeli ies double quartet of London. During the evening. scholarship presentations were made. One went to Anne Steeper of -Corbett who ' is also the Middlesex Farm Show Princess for 1978. The Clandeboye Women's Institute is sponsoring "Luncheon is Served" November 15 at 6:30 p.m. in the..t-nited Church.
