girls' and hoys slo-pitch
teams, husbands. wives and

evening at the coinmunity
centre with 215 in atten-
dance. _ •
Winners of the dummy
awards were: Making it
home on an overthrow; Vera
Guenther. an old pair of run-
ning shoes. the bare foot
kid: Nancy Rader; an old
pair of rubber boots; Paul
Watson. strike out artist. a
plastic bat; Gary Tieman.

bowling ball; Willie
O'Rourke and Bob Wein.

Celebrate 90th birthday -
Mrs. Adeline Kraft,
formerly of Dashwood and
ng*,, living at the Blue Watef
st Home was guest of
honor Saturday. when 32 of
her nieces and nephews
gathered for supper at the
Zurich hotel to celebrate her
approaching 90th birthday.
ldrs. Kraft who will be 90 on
October. 31 is in very good
health.
4-H meets
The fourth and fifth
meeting of Dashwood club 2
were held October 17. The
roll call. "The soup 1 made
with a white sauce base" •
was answered by 15
members. The two leaders.
Mrs. Ray Rader and Mrs.
Earl Keller .and a visitor,
Rachel Mellecke. were also
present. All tasted the
Healthy Peanut Bread and
Peanut - Butter Carrot
Spread.
The club discussed how to
use gelatin, the art of mak-
ing tea biscuits and in-
teresting suppers. The
