1977 will be publicly posted in the Office of the
Municipal Clerk and' in at least two conspicuous
public places in the municipality on or before the
20th day of October, 1978 as required by Section

office at Municipal Office, McLellans
General Store, Kippen and at the St.
Joseph Service Station on the 12th day of
October, 1978, cite list of all persons en-
titled to vote in the municipality at

Huron egg plant closes
Thirteen Seaforth
residents lost their jobs
Saturday when they were
told the L.H. Gray and Son
egg -grading plant was clos-
ing immediately. The
workers were called to the
plant for the news by
William Gray of Ridgetown,
who operates the firm.
Gray said that the closing
is part of an "industry
trend" resulting from reduc-
ed egg quotas. He said at
least 10 major grading
stations in. Ontariohave
closed in the past two years.

The approximately 35
major egg producers in
Huron and Middlesex coun-
ties that have been served
by the Seaforth plant, he
said, "will- still have a
market with us." The firm
continues to operate egg -
grading plants in
Ridgetown. Strathroy and
Moorefield.
The Seaforth plant handl-
ed 75,000 to 100.000 dozen
eggs a week and had a year-
ly payroll of about $170,000.
The Gray firm bought the
plant about a year ago from
Gay Lea Co. -
- Gray said his company
has no plans for its Seaforth
property. He also said "we
felt quite sorry". about the
sudden notice given to
workers.
Tom Young. who has been.
manager of the egg -grading
plant for 12 years under
previous management and
for the Gray company. said
he learned of the closure
-Friday night and had heard
no warning.
"It's a big shock for the
employees and for the town
of Seaforth." be said.
Young. who is among those
now unemployed, said he
doesn't think any of the
Gray employees have job
prospects. "We're not going

three councillors for the Township of
Stanley; b) one member to the Huron Coun-
ty Board of Education for the Township of
