St. Jean of Auburn United Church conducted the service in Brinsley United Church, Sunday. United Church Ladies held their October meeting Wednesday in the church basement with Viola Lewis taking charge of the program and Mrs. Marjorie Steeper assisted by reading the scripture. Group two ladies served lunch. Scott Prest is a patient ih St. Joseph's Hospital. Miss Viola Lewis held a successful tupperware party Tuesday afternoon. Peter Croome, local Bell Canada manager, said delivery will start October 23 and is expected to be com- pleted by • November 4: Some 224,000 directories will be delivered this year, about 13,000 more than "last year. By continuing its policy of one directory per household, Bell is conserving more than 35,000 copies. If a customer has not received his directory by November 6 he should call_ 434-3228, collect if the number is not in his local calling- area. • The new directory has additional information about Bell Canada and the steps that should be taken by a customer if he is not satisfied with the treatment he has been given by the company, Mr. Croome said.
