This summer 1 conducted
a one -woman campaign to
clean up the speech habits
ot my .sixteen -year-old'
nephew, 'Dave. and my
fourteen -year-old niece.
Janice.
They didn't svar, at least
not within my earshot. but
they abused the English
language in other ways.
For a long time. 1 ignpred
them reasoning that it was
their .teachers' problem and
not mine. But when I noticed
they' were beginning to in-
fluence their .six-year-old
brother. Brian. I decided it,
was time I did something.
During the surrtnier. I fill-
ed in for their 'English
teachers. correcting their
miSt'Skes and trying to seta
good example by using
proper grammar...
The following are a few of
the. conversations that en-
sued.
Dave: "Me and Paul went
to the show Last night."

gristence in 188,7 and the
restoration in the 1970's.
Everyone expressed in-
terest in the ceiling which
resembles .carpeting but is
an insulating material
needed to help the acoustics.
An enjoyable evening ended
with a social hour and a
delicious lunch served by the
_executive.
