preached on the parable of

urged that Christians should
work harder to maintain the
standards Jesus taught.

DadOod lady returns
from outing to _Germany

Mrs. Erna Schroeder has
returned home following a
six week visit to her former
home in Germany where she.
attended' the 25th wedding
anniversary of her sister in
East Germany. She also
visited many relatives and
friends. It was a wonderful
trip for Mrs. Schroeder.-

the United Church Women of
Calvary Church.
All joined in singing,
"Love Lifted Me," followed
by prayer by Mrs. Hugh

by Mrs. Guy -Meditation was
read by Mrs. Syd Neeb.

Zion Lutheran Ladies Aid
held their September
meeting Wednesday, Sep-
tember 13 with group 2 in
charge of Devotions and
lunch.
The meeting opened with a
hymn and prayer followed
by the topic by Pastor M.
Mellecke who in.- keeping
with school opening gave a
Geography lesson. on the
Holy Land. It is 150 miles
long with the highest
mountain 9,200 feet and
average temperature about -
17 degrees C. -

business. Eighteen members
and one visitor, who later
joined were present. The
Altar Guilds for the summer
months gave their reports
