with her sister. Mrs. Fred

Hospital at time of writing.

of the 1976 reunion.
Mrs. Stuart Shier gave the
Memorium and following a
moments silence, closed
with a poem.
George Webster,
Milgrove; acted as M.C. for
tfie program. An accordion
arid guitar duet were given
by Tim and Danny Shute of
Kirkton. Mr. & Mrs. John "
McLaughlin of London
played several. numbers on
the violin and piano.
George Webster told of the
1st reunion held in 1918 at the
hone of Wesley and
Elizabeth Switzer. Around
300 attended, some coming
from long distances and how
tables and .chairs were
gathered from many places
and they ate off china dishes.
Mrs. Ewart Crago read the
report as printed in ,they
Journal Argus in 1928 from a
scrapbook . made by her
mother, -Annie Webster
thinly. A letter was read
from Ruth Switzer Watson of
-Haverford. Pennsylvania,
daughter of Wesley and
Elizabeth Switzer telling pf
her memories as a child at
the first rednion. -
Twenty-seven people who
attended the 1928 reunion
were asked to stand.
Donna Harding of Corrie
played the ukelele and sang
several numbers. The past
presidents anti secretaries
were introduced.
The next reunion in 1980
will be held at the Kirkton-
Woodham Community
Centre.

ding of Gorrie conducted the
aces and relays after which
a smorgasbord supper was
served.

Services will resume at St.
Thomas Anglican Church in
AuguLst. and it is hoped that
the t•ongregation of the
United Church will join in
worship -at St. Thomas, as
the United Church minister
Rev. Morden will be on
vacation for the month of
August.
A speedy recovery is
extended . to Mrs. Garfield
Nixon who is a patient in
University Hospital,
recovering from surgery.

report that Mrs. Austin
hobos is now-_ home from
hospital.
