Families unite to observe
Mother's Day at Clandeboye

Clandeboye United Church will
celebrate the 50th Anniversary on
Sunday, May 25. Rev. Wm
Tupling, St. Thomas, will be
guest speaker. An anniversary
cake will be, cut and lunch will
follow the service.

Dennis Little was a guest with
his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Duncan
Little, London.
The Arthur Hodgins family
were together to celebrate
Mother's Day.
Mr. & Mrs. Ross Gale and Tina
entertained Mrs. Gale's parents'
sisters Sunday when their
daughter, Tina, was baptized at
the Mother's Day service at the
United Church.
Mr. & Mrs. R. Richardson and
John, Denfield and Ann Moore,
Lucan and Rich Rollings visited
with Lena and Orville Rollings.
Mrs.. Ernest Lewis, London
spent the weekend in Clandeboye
renewing old friends and visiting
with Mr. & Mrs. Cecil Lewis, Mr.
& Mrs. Arn. Lewis and family,
Mr. & Mrs. Phil Lewis, and Mr. &
Mrs. Larry Lewis.
Guy Redick, Lucan has been
spending a few holidays with his
Clandeboye lady
buried Saturday
Mrs. Arthur Simpson, a lifelong
resident of the area died, at her
home Wednesday. April 20.
She was the former Laura Lee.
Her husband Arthur pre-
deceased her. Surviving are sons,
William and George. RR 2.
Lucan: Clifford, London; and
daughters Mrs. K. Thompson and
Mrs. A. Thompson, RR Lucan.
Also 11 grandchildren and eight
great grandchildren. She was
buried Saturday from Murdy
Funeral Home in St. James
cemetery.
Pallbearers were Keith. Ralph,
Murray and Ken Simpson,
Douglas and Hiram Thompson,
all grandsons.
