ROBERT LAING CROMARTY Mrs. Eldon Allen was hostess for the April meeting of the Marian Ritchie Evening Auxiliary on Tuesday. Jean Carey presided and opened the meeting with a reading on Pentecost. Scripture was read by Mrs. Frank Hamilton. Mrs. Allen was in charge of the study book on rural missions and was assisted by the 10 members and six guests. Kathy Douglas commented on the exhibit, "Trim with Imagination". County honours were received by Teresa Wallace and Bonnie Norris. Seek bowling win Cromarty men's bowling team were winners of the play-offs for the nine o'clock league. They will meet the seven o'clock winners on Monday night to play for the championship trophy. In. preparation for Mother's Day, the junior choir practice will start Thursday at 8:30 o.m Seven residents arrive for Huronview music Seven new residents were welcomed to the Horne at the Old Tyme Music and Sing Song program last week. 'They are Mrs. Allan and Mr. and Mrs. McCreath of Goderich; Mrs. Watson and Mr. Racho of Egmondville; Mrs. Cox of Wingham and Bill Govier of Londesboro. Marie Flynn, Norman Speir, Jerry Collins and Philip Regier provided the music and the Clinton Christian Reformed volunteers assisted with the afternoon activities. The Iluronia Mixed Chorus of 30 members from Exeter and surrounding area provided an Easter Cantata "Haydns Chorus" on Sunday evening. The program had been presented on Easter weekend in Exeter and arrangements for the present - nation at the Home were arranged by the Christian Women's Club. Mrs. McCaffrey is director of the chorus with piano accompaniment by Mrs. Wildfong and Mrs. Moffatt. Mary Van Camp thanked the group on behalf of the residents. The "Family Night" program was arranged by Mrs. Marjorie Huether and included talent from Wingham, Bluevale, Walton, Brussels and Clinton. The vocal numbers were by Karen Johnston, Julie McCall and John Heuther who were accompanied at the piano by their music teacher, Mrs. Glen Johnston. There were piano in- strumentals by Sheila Burke and Ian Mann; accordion selections by Stephen Burke; dance numbers by Laurie Goodall and Karen Johnston. Watson Webster played some old time favourites on the mouth organ accompanied at the paino by his daugahter Marjorie Huether. Plans have been made to change the "Family Night" programs to Tuesday evening each week beginning in May with the Harboraires on May 6. Winnipeg site for wedding Robert J. Whilsmith took as his bride, the former Katherine Ruth Krone at a ceremony performed in the Salvation Army Citadel, Winnipeg, March 29, 1975. The bride was attended by Mrs. Sandra Sanderson of Winnipeg, while the groom's best man was Jim Brintnell, formerly of Exeter. Another former Exeter man, Steve Smith assisted with the ushering. Katherine is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald J. Krone, Winnipeg, and Robert is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Whilsmith, Exeter. Others attending the wedding from this area besides the groom's parents were Mr. and Mrs. Robert E. McKinlay, Ridgetown, Mr. and Mrs. Clare Wyatt and Denise, Bruce Fulcher and Mrs. Eileen Burrows, all former Exeter residents.
