On Saturday;. the Kinette Club of • Hensall presented the home with a potted Easter lily and also a potted mum. The Chiselhurst UCW' were in charge on•Monday after4n and played bingo with the residents. Mrs. Tom Scott played the auto harp and sang Irish songs. Lloyd and Helen Horton of the Listowel area visited with Isabel Brintnell. Leonard Bragg of St. Marys visited with his father Arthur Bragg. United Church notes Rev.` Don Beck preached the sermon "God's surprises" for the Palm Sunday service in Ilensall United Church on Sunday mor- ning. The choir sang the anthem "Hosannah, hosannah, to Christ our king", accompanied on the organ by Mrs. Turkheim. The Maundy Thursday service will be held on March 27 at 7:30 . • p.m., when the sacrament of Holy Communion will be held for both the Ifensall and Chisellturst congregations. Mr. Larry Skinner is in St. Joseph's Hospital, London following surgery on Monday. �1d cil end St. Paul's ACW HEN6ALL The regular meeting of the St. Paul's ACW was held Thursday afternoon at the home of Mrs. F._ Forrest. The president Mrs. Anderson opened the meeting with everyone taking part in the Litany. The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. The roll call was answered by a Biblical "time" verse. It was -decided to pack a bale at the next meeting. The study book "Meet criticism with serenity" was given by Helen Roberts. Discussions and ways of making •money were discussed. The Annual Diocesian Council meeting will be held on May 1 in London. The president an- nounced the deanery meeting in Stratford on April 16. A piano instrumental by Sandra McCurdy was much enjoyed. I. about 'his work as librarian at Goderich Collegiate when they met for the Cultural activities meeting on March 19. • He stated that the library used by students and teachers was a technical library and that he did the buying of books and other equipment. He was introduced by Mrs. Drummond and thanked by Mrs. Pullman. The president welcomed the guests and gave a reading. Mrs. 'J.
