NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that pursuant to The Municipal
Act, R.S.O. 1970, Chapter 284, Section 443 and other
powers thereunto enabling, the Corporation of the Town of
Exeter proposes to stop up and close:
In the, Town of Exeter in the County of Huron and
Province of Ontario and being composed of:
Premising Sanders Street to have a bearing of North
81 degrees 24' East as shown on Registered Plan
Number 23 and relating all bearings herein thereto:
FIRSTLY: All that portion of John Street lying East of a
line drown South 8 degrees 33' East from a point in
the Southerly limit of Lot 1189, Registered Plan
Number 20, distant 6.87 feet measured Easterly
therealong from the South Wgsterly corner of said lot
1189.
SECONDLY: All that portion of Bodman Street as
shown on Registered Plon Number 20 lyng between
John Street and a line which is 6.15 feet Southerly
from and parallel with the original Southerly limit of
Sanders Street as shown on Registered Plan Number
20.
The lands comprising those ports of the said road
allowances hereby stopped up and closed, and the subse-
quent sale or other disposition of the said lands, shall be sub-
ject to easements for existing sewer, watermain and hydro
services on the lands in question.
That subject to the said easements, the lands comprising
those parts of the said rood allowances hereby stopped up
and closed shall continue to be vested in the Corporation csf
the Town of Exeter to be dealt with from time to time as the
Council of the said Corporation may see fit and deem proper.
And that the Council of the said Corporation will hear, in
person or by counsel, solicitor, or agent, any person who
claims that his land will be prejudicially affected by the said
bylaw and who applied to be heard at a meeting to be held
of the Town Hall in the Town of Exeter on the 14th day of
March, 1975 at the hour of 2 o'clock in the afternoon.

FIRSTLY ALL THAT PORTION of rood allowance in
the Township of Usborne inthe County of Huron and
Province of Ontario and being the road allowance
between Lot E, Concession 9 of the said Township and
Lot 2T, South East Boundary Concession of the said
Township commencing at the eost limit of the rood
allowance between Concessions 8 and 9 of the said
Township of Usborne and continuing to the northwest
limit of Provincial Highway Number 23, as widened
by deposit plan 557 (formerly• being the rood
allowance between the Township of Usborne in the
County of Huron and the Township 9f" 13lonshard in
the County of Perth.

Flyers lead South Huron
The Zurich Flyers lead the
Exeter Mohawks two games to
one in one round of semi-final
playoffs in the South Huron
Intermediate hockey league. In
the other grouping the Shipka
Colonials lead Centralia College
one game to none.
After Zurich won the first game
a week earlier the Mohawks and
Flyers split a pair of games this
week. Zurich won Friday by a
score of 7-5 and the Mohawks
came back Sunday afternoon to
post a 5-4 victory.
The fourth game will be played
at the Exeter arena Friday night
at 8:30 p.m. with the fifth contest
back in Zurich Sunday afternoon
at 2 p.m.
The second game of the Cen-
tralia College-Shipka series will
be played at the Huron Park
arena tonight, Thursday at 8:30
p.m. with the third tilt in Zurich
Sunday night at 9 p.m. The fourth
game is at Huron Park, March 13.

Dominion Command has sent
statistics that 800,000 ex -service
men and women in Canada are
not members of the Royal
Canadian Legion. Some of these
people live near us or work with
us
Bringing these people into the
Royal Canadian Legion will
strengthen the voice and clout of
the Dominion Command when
addressing itself to the Depart-
ment of Veterans Affairs and
indeed to the Department of
National Defense. Canada has
over 20 million people and a mere
seventy thousand service per-
sonnel to defend its vast areas
and boundaries. Need more be

The Atom invasion is over for
this year and of course we are
referring to the second annual
I,ucan Leprechaun atom hockey
tournament hosted by Branch 540
of the Royal Canadian Legion.
There were 27 hockey teams

entered, a total of 403 young
hockey players 10 years of age
and under plus 65 adults who
came as managers, coaches and
trainers and in addition the many
mums and dads and fans who
follow their team. It was just a
really great show.
Byron won the 'B' title edging
Cedar 'Hill 3-2 in overtime.
Dresden won the 'C' crown

will be hosting the Zone A-5
meeting which will include the
zone elections. Make it a point to
attend and take this opportunity
to meet and greet your comrades
from throughout the zone and

The first period was all even
with each team scoring two
goals. Al Rimmer and Murray
Glanville were the Exeter
marksmen and Ron Rader and
Bob Merner replied for the
Flyers.
In the second period Rimmer
scored twice and Glen Overholt
was the lone Zurich marksman.
Scoring in the third period in
addition to Al Rimmer's game
winner was Rod Chapman for the
Flyers.
Flyers score late win
The Zurich victory Friday
came on three goals in the last
half of the third period after the
Mohawks had taken a 7-6 margin
near the nine minute mark.
Kevin McKinnon fired the
winning goal for Zurich with four
minutes remaining. He also tied
the game a few minutes earlier.
McKinnon was the top Zurich
goal producer with three. Rod
Chapman was next with a two
goal effort and Ray Weido, Rick
Schilbe, Ron Desjardine and Glen
Overholt added singles.
Jim Pfaff was best for the
Mohawks .with a three goal
performance. Al Rimmer was
next with two successful shots
and Murray Glanville and Randy
Tiernan each added one goal.
H -P victorious
in house league
In a pee wee house league
game Saturday morning, Huron
Park downed Exeter by a 4-2
score. Rick Sharp and Bernard
Desjardine each notched two
goals to account for the Huron
Park scoring.
Repling for Exeter were Don
Beaver on an unassisted effort
and Wayne Smith on a pass from
Dean Boyle.
School news
The public speaking com-
petition between St. Patrick's
and Lucan-Biddulph schools will
take place in the Lucan School al
7:30 Thursday.
The Biddulph School held their
skating party at the Lucan Arena
Thursday afternoon and
everyone enjoyed the outing.
Entertain with

Members of the GYPSWY
Group entertained friends from
the village and from Parkhill UC
Youth Group at a coffee house on
Saturday. Bev. Madden and

Baby sitting course for
girls in Centralia district

The regular meeting of the
CGIT was held on Tuesday with
Pauline Overholt and Karen
Dietrich in charge of the worship
service.
„The girls continued with their
course in baby sitting and are
putting their training to use by
taking charge of the nursery for
babies and pre-schoolers during
the service in the United Church
on Sunday mornings.
Community crokinole for seniors
Senfor Citizens enjoyed an
afternoon of crokinole and cards
in the Community Centre on
Monday followed by lunch and a
social time. They voted in favour
of meeting again next Monday.
Euchre party
Mr. & Mrs. Earl Dixon and Mr
•& Mrs. Ken Hodgins were in
charge of the euchre party in the
community centre on Monday
night with 13 tables in play.
Prize winners were: ladies
high score, Mrs. Murray Collins;
lone hands, Mrs. Rose Atkinson;
low score, Mrs. Joe Carter;
men's high, Ray Shoebottom;
lone hands, Tom Kooy; low,
George Aikens. The prize for the
lucky chair went to Mrs. Frank
Hicks.

Rec playoffs
start tonight
The regular schedule of the
Exeter and district Rec hockey
league ended Thursday night
with Les Pines blanking Usborne
township 5-0 and Newby Tire
scoring a 7-5 decision over the
North Stars.
The playoffs begin tonight,
Thursday with Newby Tire and
Usborne meeting in one semi-
final and Les Pines and North
Stars meeting in the other half.
Bob Rowe scored twice to lead
the Les Pines scoring in the win
over Usborne. Getting one goal
apiece were Marty Overholt,
Rick McDonald and Gord
Beutenmiller.
Jim Dingwell was the top goal
producer for Newby Tire with a
two goal performance while Dale
Skinner, Mark Hookey, Ed
Kerslake, Bob McDonald and Bill
Brock added singles.
Chris Daniel fired two suc-
cessful shots to head the North
Stars scoring. Notching one goal
each were Bill Van Bergen, Case
Zeehuisen and Al Knight.
Monday night.
Mrs. John Thompson was in
London over the weekend and
accompanied Mrs. Don Heaman
and Karen to Chatham where
they attended a bridal shower,for
Elizabeth Lunn at the home of
Mrs. Sherman Eaton on Sunday.

accompanied by Mr. & Mrs. Tom
Kooy were Sunday evening
visitors with Mr. & Mrs. Karl
Keller and family in London.

days at West Palm Beach,
Meadow Lark Camp, Fort Myers,
Disneyland, and the Grand Ole

were Saturday guests with Mr. &

Marikay. The occasion was a
