Subject to the approval of the Ministry of Transportation and Communication, the 1975 gravelling contract was awarded to R. d -I. Jennison Ltd. of Grand Bend. The estimated costs of the service is $20,220. The Jennison tender was the lowest of four at $1.17 per cubic yard. The road department account of $9,003.34 presented by the Road Superindendent was moved to be paid. Also passed 'for payment was " the monthly general account of S23.660.34. Councillor John Stewart moved that bylaws be prepared to licence the unassessed trailers in the municipality. Approval was given for the amount of $6,750 for a tile drainage loan. Sewers 4-11 Club 5 held their first meeting Saturday, February 8 morning at the home of Marlene Glavin, Mt. Chrmel. Leaders Mrs. Mary Muller and Mrs. Joan Hodgins and 16 members were present. After discussion, the name Sexy Sewers was chosen for the group. The girls examined samples of material, patterns and pictures of the finished product. Each girl decided upon a material and an appropriate pattern, then gave reasons for her choice. Members were in- structed to bring patterns and materials to the next meeting.
