GREENWAY
The first service of centennial
year celebrations of the United
Church was held on Sunday with
the Rev. Harold Dobson in
charge. •
First religious services in this
community dates back to 1860
and in 1875 a Methodist Episcopal
Church was built where the
United Church now stands. In
1897 a new church was built on
the same property and it was in
commemoration of this
dedication of this 'church on
January 16, 1898 that the special
service was held last Sunday.
