Crime Stoppers and the Wing -
ham Police Force are asking your
assistance to help solve this theft.
Sometime Monday night or
early. Tuesday morning on De-
cember 14 or 15, 1988 thieves
entered almost 30 new vans at
John Cullen Chcv Olds LTD in
Wingham. They smashed the
vent windows on the vans and
then opened the doors. Twenty-
five windows were smashed,
causing $1,450 in damage. Once
in the vans, the thieves quickly
went to work and stole all the
spare tires. The tires were
Uniroyal Tiger Paw Plus, P225 -
75R15, mud and snow, .on -rally
rims. The tires andrings w re
worth over $2,300: -

Public skating - Trudy Rooseboom took advantage of Tuesday's
public skating in Hensall to give daughter Sara some more practice
on the ice.
Hensall shuts

H& NSALL The Bayfield Nov-
ice team came to .battle Hensall
December 21 on their home ice,
but were shut out by Hensall goa-
lie Eric Groot.
Three first period goals were
scored by Mark -Bell and Brock
Weiss. Weiss came back in the
third period with two morc goals
to chalk up- a hat trick for the
game. Regan Ncilands also scored
twice in third with Jeff Campbell,
Jimmy Seaton, and Graham Keys
out Bayfield •
scoring singles. -

United Church
Hensall United held services on
both Christmas Eve and Christmas
Day, -including musical programs
from the junior and senior choirs, a
solo from Stratford Boys Choir
member David Reath, and a piano
and organ duct.
Junior choir practice for the .new
year will resume on January 5. • The
choir will be meeting Thursdays
from 6:30-7:15 p.m.

DASIIWOOD - This stems to be
the week to reflect on the past year
and make new years resolutions for
the next.
The Zion Lutheran .Church
Christmas Eve children's service
was directed by Pastor Larry
Stojkovich and Cindy Harnather.
The theme was taken from the
U.S. Boors head festival but the
setting was changed to Colonial
Canada and the 50 children were
dressed in Colonial costume.
They presented the contrast
between how v'e cerebrate
Christmas and its true meaning.
