CENTRALIA - 54t the United
Church on Christmas eve a candle-
light service was presented to a full
church with a number of people
taking part.
Next Sunday, January 1, a joint
service will be held at Centralia
United Church at 11:1Sa.m. Every-
body welcome. No Sunday School.

with Jcan's parents all of Cargill.
Gregory and Danny spent the. week

at Zion United Church was taken
from Isaiah 9:2-7 and John 18:33-
37 titled "Born -To Be King".
There will be no choir practice -

has returned home from South Hu-
ron Hospital, Exeter. -
Stephen Pcrtschy has returned
home from St. Joseph's Hospital,
London.
The flowers in the church sanctu-
ary were from the funeral of the
late -Leonard Wein.
Sympathy is extended to the fam=
ilies of the late Leonard Wcin. Mr.
Wein passed away Tuesday even-
ing. Funeral services were held
from the Dinncy funeral home Ex-
eter on Thursday. Interment in Cre-
diton Cemetery. Rev. Robert Pee-
bles officiated.

and family; Mr. and Mrs. Jim

spent Christmas with Mrs. Leonard
Wein, Mr. Marvin Wcin, Cheryl,

Van Steeg are pleased to an-
nounce that Barry 'Von Steeg
has passed his final ekams and
has qualified to become a char-
tered accountant. Barry is a
graduate of Wilfrid Laurier Uni-
versity and Strathroy DCI. He is
currently employed by Thome,
Ernst and Whinney Accoun-
tants in London. Barry is the
grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Ba -
rend Van Steeg of Exeter.

day and on Christmas eve Norm and

The euchre party which was to be
held at Neil schoolhouse on Decem-
ber 27 was postponed owing to road
conditions and is re -scheduled for
January 9 at 8 p.m..
The. party at Hcywoo.Is on De-
cember 19 was largely attended with
prize winners being: high score,
Helen Macdonald, Murray Carter,
Ione hands, Margaret Lawson, Ho-
ward Dolan, low score, Kay Arm-
strong, Derwin Eeatson.
Following the cards a lovely
Christmas dinner was served by the
staff free of charge. -Thanks Steve,
Len and seiff. .

• At the Community Centre in the
evening of December 19, prizes
went to high score Mildred Hirtzel,
Percy Noels, lone hands, Janet
Hicks, low score, Dorothy Darling,
