Petite Ringettes beat Seaforth
EXETER -hie Exeter Petite
Ringette team challenged the first -
place Seaforth squad on Saturday
and won 4-3. Seaforth penetrated
early, on a quick.goal from Kelly
Rau. It took two minutes for Exet- •

busy throughout the whole game.

the game -winning goal.
Amy Edward, Teresa • Stire, Judi
Wilson, Jo -Dee Rowe, Leeann Fos-
ter, Cheryl Wein all helped in the
scoring plays.
The Exeter Petites resume their
regular season January 7 in Mitch-
ell. The team is going into the
new year -with a record of eight
wins, two ties and no losses with
four games remaining in their regu-
lar season.
On the 27 and 28 of December
the girls travel to Stratford for a
tournament.
Exeter Bell Atoms and
Stephen battle to tie
HURON PARK - The Exeter Bell
Atoms and Huron Park battled to a
2-2 tic last Tuesday. .
Exeter was first on the scoreboard
with a goal by Ryan 'Soldan who
-completed his rush on a pass from
Scott Rowe. -
HuronPark evened the score early`
in the second period with a goal by
_Jeff Glavin. Assists 'went.toAnd
Glavin and Chris Glavin.
Scott Inson gave Exeter the lead,
again assisted by John Moore. But
Andy Glavin tied it again for I luron
Park with assists going to Jcff and
Chris Glavin. •-

Huron District High School's stu-
cdentsattcmptcd to teach their teach-
crs-a thing or -two last Monday in a
lesson victory. Except this lesson
didn't occur in the classroom, it was
on ice.
The hockey panthers met their ri-
vals in a hockey game to assist in.
collecting canned goods and money
for the-Chtistmas Bureau. The stu-
dents edged out -the teachers 5 - 4. It
was certainly a close match and the
line of women teachers added some
excitement to the game in their at-
tempts to outsmart their skidents.
Dennis Xlielson and George
1`lcEwan put two past the Panther
goalie for the teachers. Jeff Dalrym-
ple, actually a student of SIIDIIS,
played with the teachers and scored
two goals for his team. -
Jon O'Clonnor, Rob McKnight,
and Steve Arnold each had singles
for the Panthers and Dave O'Connor
put two *behind the teacher's'' net -

Pee Wces picked up a pair of Sham-
rock League wins last wcck and
both were -by• 2-1 scores, to raise
their league record to 5-11-1, with
one league game left, tonight, whcn
they play host to Parkhill at the
• South Huron Rec Centre.
Last Wednesday, Exctcr defeated
Lucan .2-1 at the South Huron Rec
Ccntrc and on Saturday they beat
St. Marys by the same count.

took the lead for good on Stuart's
unassisted goal later in the second.

victory. Ile played the first half of
the .game when all thc georing was
(ions and was replaced later by Dar-
ren Kints.
Kints played thc entire game
against Si. Marys, stopping 27 of
28 shots.
