After having . read the .article by Yvonne Reynolds, "A policeman's lot isnot always a happy one". it struck me that a poor impression may remain especially about safety in the town of Exeter. I chose to move to Huron County in August of 1987 partly because the quality of life is so attractive here in comparison to the Metro Toronto area. I've found neigh- bours,•tradesmen, store clerks, and colleagues all to be friendly and helpful. I've been most impressed with the students at the high school - they have wholesome attitudes. In fact, even the so-called "bad" kids are good. I've never felt safer. Perhaps Officer Powell can take some comfort from the large group of good citizenswhom when they graduate will become safe neigh- bours and colleagues in turn. Sincerely J. Porter, Vice-principal.
