CLINTON - The Huron County
Board of Educaton has decided to
take no action on an issue being
championed by the Toronto Board
of Education about the provision
of day care in schools.
At its regular September meet-
ing, the HCBE discussed the 'To-
ronto board's resolution which asks
the Ontario Ministry of Communi-
ty and Social Services to provide
financial assistance and a financial
planning service to public non-
profit day care boards located in
schools and operated by the boards
of education in the province.
Although no action was taken
locally, HCBE director of educa-
tion Bob Allan said day care in
schools would be a good thing and
that the issue is a good cause for
the Toronto board to champion.
secretary and treasurer.
