SUMMERS GRANTON - At Granton United Church Sunday morning, Rev. and Mrs. Pierce's son Michael showed pictures and told of a learning ex- perience he and a group of young people had on a trip to Mexico. At St. Thomas Anglican Church, Rev. Beverley Wheeler was in charge of the Harvest Thanksgiving service. Her sermon message was taken from the book of Job and her text was "The fear of the Lord", that is Wisdom and to depart from evil is understand- inS�ial music was provided in a solo by Lynda Hodgins "Close to God" accompanied by the organist Marlene French. Jean told about the "Master Gardener" course that she had taken and some of the requirements necessary to complete the course. She demonstrated the making of corsages. Theatre London, which was incorporated in 1973, currently operates as The Grand Theatre. Board treasurer W. Wesley De Shane presented the membership with audited financial statements showing a surplus of $220,511 on operations. Paid attendance, including the six - play mainstagc season, the McMa- nus Studio Theatre productions for young people, and two special at- tractions on the mainstagc, totalled 129,230. Percentage attendance for the six mainstagc productions were as follows: Bom Yesterday 79.3%; • Papers 67.2c%c; Filthy Rich 75.7%; Top Girls 67.6°Jr; Mass Appeal 70.1%; Rock and Roll 86.5%. The total percentage attendance for the mainstagc season was 75 percent.
