Lucan briefs..
Council welcomed the visits of
the principals of Lucan Public
School and Biddulph Public School
to Tuesday's meeting. Arnold Hall
noted his Biddulph School is start-
ing a computer education program
and Gerry Adlington's Lucan
School is commencing its French
immersion program.with grade one
this year.
*-***
Lucan will send a letter of con-
gratulation to the Town of West-
minster on their becoming a.town
last week. Reeve -Norm Steeper
noted Westminster contributes 16
percent of Middlesex County's bud-
get, much of which would have to
be allocated to other municipalities
if London were to succeed in its bid
for annexation.
Lucan has given its support to
Middlesex's.plan for County -Wide
Reassessment. Council noted the
restructuring would likely have
little effect on Lucan's ratepayers.
