A fantastic season
EXETER - Just a quick wrap-up
report to end off yet another fantas-
tie summer of playground pro-
gram. This summer has been espe-
cially great because of the record
number of children who participat-
ed in our various activities.
The List week of playground was
highlighted by a Wet 'n •Wild day,
a trip to Wally World, oikr-ekl-of-
the-summer assembly and a barbe-
cue 1)q the last day.
We had a super week. Our as-
sembly was a great way to end our
program with skits, singing and
other acts. The parents had a rare
opportunity to see some of the
thins that their children have done
and teamed over the last six weeks.
Our program could not have been
a •success without our volunteers
and parents. The volunteers gave
up part of their summer (some up
to five weeks) to help us out, su-
pervising the children and hctping
prepare for the day's activities.
These people deserve a special
thanks - Brad Chambers, Tracey
Urlin, Rachora Good,.Julic McLe-
od, Shawn Bartlett, Amy Hawley,
Allan McFalls, Jamie Rolph, Mat-
thew Nethercott and Lynn Work -
pian.
To our parents, thanks for bring-
• ing your kids and supporting us
with donations, volunteering to
drive and encouragement, especial-
ly on those hectic days when we
really needed it.
There are several lost and found
articles from the summer. These can
be picked up at the Rec Centre.
Several items have been found dur-
ing our cleanup so if you are still
missing something, please give the
rec centre a call. - -
In closing, thanks for a great
summer. Hope to see you all next
year.
Sue, Jeannie, Dianne and Sherrie
