la. The end of August is here al-
ready. Where has the summer gone?
The recent weather hat given some
relief from .the heat wave that
passed through last month.
Entertaining us with song, Bob
Heywood spent an evening with us.
We hope he will make it a regular
happening.

the children attending but enjoyed
by the adults as well.

News from
Revival Centre
LUCAN - Tim Kritzer led the
song service Sunday morning. Rev.
Roger Mason presented Rev. Bruce
Thomson, leader of a Y.W.A.M.
group, as guest speaker. Rev.
Thomson sang Take My Life,
while Miss Debbie Shiplack inter-
preted the song in pantomime.
Rev. Thomson ministered from 1
Kings 19. After the prophet Elijah
had such a great victory in proving
God is the true God, he had killed
the false prophets of Baal. The
Queen Jezebel then thfeatened to
have Elijah killed. Elijah became
afraid and ran away.
Every Christian has this wilder-
ness experience. God can take these
situations and use them for His glo-
ry. Elijah was depressed, yet spirit-
ually proud, thinking he was the
only one serving the Lord in Israel•.
Later God assured him there were
7000 serving Him. Pride is used of
Satan to try to destroy ministries.
Rev. Roger Mason conducted the
Sunday evening service. Rev. ma-
son spoke from Luke 12:13-21, the
parable of the rich fool. This man's
condition is comparable to many
today - rich, but lost. Just as a rab-
bi was asked in Jesus' day to settle
disputes, so ministers are often
asked today to make a judgement in
family matters.
Many people prepare for death
materially. But, like the rich man,
they do not lay up treasures towards
God. He was found wanting, and
was lost for eternity. God measures
the way we live in the Tight of eter-
nity.
Upcoming event - September 4 -
A Worship Team from Exeter Pen-
tecostal Church, with their guitars,
will be leading the worship Sunday

duced her daughter Gladys SRock,
her daughter Wendy Brown and her
twin daughters, Amanda and Marcia
Brown who dida step dance number
for us.
Dorothy then introduced Paula
Screda a professional wedding coor-
dinator consultant, to us. Her talk
and demonstrations were very inter-
esting and informative. She taught
us how to make a proper bow, a eu-
calyptus wreath, corn husk willow
and a fan wreath. We had a draw for
the eucalyptus wreath; winner was
Gertie Willis.
