Rae's other daughter El- eanor also had second thoughts so he ended up riding with Katie McQuail, daughter of Tony McQuail, who is seeking the Huron -Bruce nomination. • 1988 Zurich Bean Festival Queen 1988 QUEEN - Kim Redick was crowned Queen of the Zurich Bean Festival by former queen Connie Desjardine. First runner up was Co.. tette Bedard and second runner up was Bobbi Brown. HERE THEY ARE - The whole reason for the Zurich Bean Festival's ex- istence were found on the plates of the thousands of visitors who could not leave the festival without a taste of the famous bean recipe. + y. HORSESHOE PITCHING - While fewer contestants entered this year, there was still plenty of top-notch competition to- keep eve- ryone cin their toes. Hugh Harburn - from London shows his best form during the finals. NO FAVOURITISM NOW Ju - ha Wallace finds herself with a very small and very reluctant frog in the Frog Jumping Contest. Even though Julia had a relative in the contest's organization, her frog only obliged by jumping 18 inches in three tries. THE PEOPLE'S CHOICE - This 1963 Chrysler 300 won Rob Lenting of Hensall the People's Choice trophy in Saturday's an- tique car show at the Zurich Bean Festival. 1932 CHEVROLET - This car was brought to the Saturday's show by Laurabelle and Orland Reichert, from Hensall. The show featured everything from a classic '54 Ben- tley to a high-tech IROC-Z. fiRkNCE tri �r:. gra ST.
