EXETER - On August 6 ".
, after a
busy summer, the Work Orienta-
tion Workshop (W.O.W.) program
came to an end. WOW is a federal -
4 -sponsored. youth .work .program
designed to teach young high
school students about the world of
work.
•A combination of. work experi-
encc and workshop seminars was
found to be highly effcetive. The
students.were placed in, a work set-
ting -that best -suited their career in-
terests. -
.Workshops included a variety of
field trips to local businesses, semi-
nars given by..local professionals
and Various recreational activities.
Was W.O.W. successful? Each of
the 10 W.O.W. participants have
expressed very positive feelings
about the program. Many found

- Bryanston United Church was the
setting for the July 23 wedding of
Deborah.. Lynn Schendera, daugh-
ter of Ted and Margaret Schendera
` of Penfield and Paul Todd Mars-
den, son. of Bob.and Donna Mars-
den of Tillsonburg. Debbie was es-
corted down the aisle by her father
and given in marriage by her par-
- ents with Rev. Jean Baker of Well-
burn officiating and Canon Sid Lup-
ton of Ilderton assisting. Tammy
Schendera, sister-in-law _of the
bride was matron -of honour and
' Jennifer Armstrong, cousin of the
bride, was bridesmaid. Sara Ewald,
a special friend of the bride was
flowergirl. Matt Marsden, brother of
the , groom was best man and
ushering the guests were Ted
Schendera Jr., brother of the bride,
and Terry Grant, friend of. the
groom.. Deanne Smith was the or-
9anist and David Jeffrey was solo-
ist. Prior to the service Mike and
Kelly. Murray handed out bulletins
and corsages. The dinner and re-
ception was held at .Bryan"ston
Community Centre. The happy
couple now reside in London. -

the students have begun to see the
relationship between future career
choices and their course selections

ized the importance of education to
"their full participation in the labour
market.
