EXETER - Twenty three golfers
were on hand when White Squirrel -
sponsored the men's night on the
Exeter Golf Course. •
Frankearned the longest
drive while Kitch Pavlick came
closest to the hole. Pavlick also
won the skins game.
In B flight, Dubarry turned in a
low gross of 41 to claim top hon-
ours. He was followed by Don
Wallace with a gross of 44.
Mark Wragg took low net with
29. Bob Reynolds followed with a
32.
In C flight, Garry Kyle earned
low gross with 45. He was followed
by Monty Scott with 46, Larry
Pole with 50 and Garry Koehler
with 51.
Dave Vincent claimed low net in
C flight with 28 while Paul Ritchie
followed with 31. John Batten -and.
Mike Horner tied with a low net of
32.-.
Steve. Dubarry--was-at-thlrtop l
the list'August 8 whcn he brought
in a low gross of 40 to edge Frank
Dubarry with 44: Low net was
earned by Mark Wragg with 26
while Bob Reynolds followed with
31.
In C flight, low gross wcnt to
Monty Scott with 45. Garry Kyle
followed with 48 and John Batten
shot 51. Low net wcnt to Jack
Ford with 29 while Francis Chad-
wick scored 30 and Hans Gcrsten-
korn scored a 33. -
Glen Ford was the 50/50 draw
winner while skins went to Frank
Dubarry. Closest to the hole was
John Batten while Bill Chadwick
had the longest drive.
Shuffleboard scores
EXETER - Steve Hrapchak
capped the mixed slo-pitch action
whcn he recorded 464 in five
games Wednesday night. He was
followed by Lloyd Lovell and Wil-
ma Davis who ticd (or second place
with 341. . •
Laverne Stonb placed third with
321 while Norman Stanlake closed
out the scoring with 300.
Joc Gosar was the leader in five
games Thursday when he managed
a score of 493. He was followed by
Pearl McKnight with 397 and Wil-
ma Davis with .385. .
In four games John Pepper
emerged -victorious with 347 while
Lloyd Lovell turned in a 285.

Gilfillan, Ciuciura outstanding for Exeter
EXETER - In Squirt action this
week Exeter I played very well of-
fensively and used their chances
well to lead a 3-1 victory over Lu -
can Ill.
Scott Gilfillan and Andy Ciuciura
were outstanding for Exeter I. The
three goals for Exeter I were scored
by Michael Wilhelm, Cam Dougall
and Adam Johns.
Exeter 1I travelled to Ilderton for a
game against a very strong team.
Whcn the smoke had cleared Exeter
II was on the winning side of a 3-2
score.
Exeter III's game with Nairn I
was rescheduled because of the hcaL
In Atom play, Exeter I won two
games this week to merge into sec-
ond place overall, one point behind
St. Columban.
In their first game of the week,
Exeter I came up against unbeaten
St. Columban. Led by a very
strong playing Jeff Sararas and out-
standing goaltending by Cory Du-
lemba, Exctcr I attacked a surprised
St. Columban team and took a 4-0
lead. -
In the second half Exeter let up a
bit and coasted to a 5-1 win.
Roy Hodgson and Adam Hern
played well defensively.
- David Farquhar scored three goals
and Jeff Sararas notched two for Ex-
etcr-I.
In their second game of the week,
Exeter I had an easy time of it
against Ilderton. The highlight of
the game was the first goal of the
season for Dennis Farquhar, Chad
Gillillan and Jeff Sararas. -
Exeter II has been playing well of
late and are taking a runatthird
place overall after defeating their
Grand Bend rivals 6-4.
On the mall field goaltending was
very important and Exeter goaltend
er Steven Hern rose to the occasion,
playing a very strong game.
Goalscorers for Exeter II -were
Trevor Boersma with three, Ryan
Frciter with one and -Luke Sims
with two goals.
In Mosquito action, Exeter rolled
overa shorthanded Coldstream
squad. As the final score of 8-0
suggests, it was not much of a con-
test.
Scoring for Exeter were Brian
McAllister, Marty Dcbruyn, Dennis
Welsh, GregFear(2), Trevor Taylor
and Shawn McCann.
In Pec Wee action, Exeter I
played a strong game against St.
Columban and solidified their hold
on first place overall.
With two superb underage players
in the lineup and with swecoer Dar-
ryl Beaver in good form, Exeter I
swept to a 4-0 victory.
Nick Szabo and Joel Campbell
each scored twice. By far the best
team effort for Exeter I according to
coaches Martin and Henri DeBruyn.
Exeter II stayed close to the top
of the standings with a hard fought
3-2 win over a strong Grand. Bend
squad.
It took two late goals by Exeter
to nullify a 2-1 Grand Bend lead and
come home with a win.
In Under 17 action, the Exeter
boys had an excellent week posting
two wins.
Monday, Exeter played well earn-
ing a 2-0 shut out over Grand Bend.
Mark Danna and Dan Vandcrlaan
played well for Exeter.
Chris Chanyi collected both Exct-
cr goals.
Thursday, Exctcr took revenge
against the Delaware Oilers for an
