sall and area fire pumper truck
home from Abbotford, British Co-
lumbia. Ho made the long trip, in a
short five days.

THAMES ROAD - Some 90
people attended the outdoor church
service 'at Morrison Dam, Sunday
morning. Rev. Sheila Macgregor
condUcted the most impressive ser-
vice.
Rev. Sheila read from Genesis
13:14-18. She told the children
about the outdoor church which
they were attending and also the
story about Abraham. Rev. Sheila
also read from Isaiah 55:8-9 and 1
Corinthians Chapter 13: She also
gave three very interesting thoughts
on the different Scripture Readings.
After the service about 90 people
partook of a sumptuous smorgas-
bord dinner.
After dinner races wcre.conducted
by Ken and Dorothy Duncan and
Lorne and Audrey Passmore.

summer will be July 31 at Thames
Road at 1 p.m.

HENSALL - Hello from Queens-
way. Monday afternoon several resi-
dents gathered in the Activity
Room and played euchre checkers,
crokinolc and dominos. Everyone
then relaxed with a snack.
Reverend Van Essen led our
church service Tuesday afternoon.
Everyone appreciated his message.
We are fortunate to have a variety
of dedicated ministers to lead our
services.
Wednesday's Fun and Fitness
started the day with the Activity
Room the scene of lots of huffing
and puffing. Joyce Pepper visited us
in the afternoon as volunteer pianist
at choir practice. After our practice
was over we wcrc treated to Joyce
playing many requests for us.
Baking Club stirred up a batch of
peanut butter squares Thursday af-
ternoon which we snacked on later i
in the evening at our movie,
"Castaway Cowboys" starring
James Garner.
Saturday morning Coby and Ivinc
Amoraal and daughters Naomi and
Jolande presented a wonderful musi-
cal program of folk and gospel fa-
vorites. Afterward we enjoyed a vis-
it. with them over warm cheese tea
biscuits and juice. Thank you so
much Coby and Irvin for sharing
your talent and your -'family with
us.
Coming events: the residents are
anticipating Wednesday July 27 at 7
p.m. when Bob Heywood entertains
at our monthly Birthday Party, and
July 29 at 2 p.m. is International
Day featuring Canada.

birthdays of .the Marian Ritchie
W.M.S. of Cromarty Presbyterian
Church on Wednesday evening. It
was a- very worthwhile evening to
attend.
Steve and Linda Johns entertained
with a pool party on Saturday after-
noon. Those attending were, Bob
and Carol Waddell of -Toronto, Jim
and Fran Swcitzcr, Terry and Mary
Smith of London, Wayne and
Anne, Michael and Katie Shannon
who came down from their cottage
at Tobcrmory, Martin and Laura,

Newfoundland; Mr. Ernest Auhe of

Katie Shannon stayed over with
Amy Johns and returned to Tobcr-
mory on Sunday with Jim and Fran
Swcitzcr. Kevin) Johns accompa-

for a holiday.
