Keenagers going strong
AILSA CRAIG - Summers are
time for slowing down, - just like
old age, right?? Wrongt.on both
count: The Ailsa Craig Keenagers
don't slow down much and the last
six weeks have been full of fun and
wonderful adventure.
The first excitement was the re-
plies we received from our Opening
Day balloons.' The first three were
from Ohio, as farsouth as Colum-
bus. We thought that was great! A
few came from the Chatham -Lake
St. Clair region. Angela McCal-
lum and Victoria- Stubbs sent' in
their finds and than "we received a
real surprise!
One of our green balloon; must
have found a jet air stream, for' it
was found in Blacksburg Virginia
on June. 4, the day after it was re-
leased! Get out your atlas and
you'll find Blacksburg near Roa-
noke close to the. North Carolina
border. That's,almost 500 miles'
Since June •is a popular wedding
month, we celebrated by.bringing in
our wedding pictures. We even had
a 60 yrcar old wedding dress; beauti-
fully kept. Of course that got us
sharing how we met our spouses.
They ranged all the was from see-
ing him across the room.and know-
ing that's he's the one you. want to
marry, to answering ads in the pa-.

per,. to the encounter with the big-
bang - bumping heals in the
swimming pool! Then we had
those who got everything they or-
dered - right down to dry skin and
no. holes in his socks! 11 you want
names; you'li have- to come and join-
us.
We have armchair travels to Brazil
with John Bender, Australia and -
Ncw Zealand .With Helen Loft and
China with Evelyn McNaughton.
Several times the van got us out •
of our chairs. First. to East Wil
liams School for a fantastic skip-
ing and gymnastics demonstration.
Anyone over i8 won't believe the
things those -kids did with skipping
ropes! We were really impressed.
