Murray Dawson, Clerk of Session called Mr. and Mrs. Jack Hodgert to the front when they gave their daughter Ann Marie for baptism. The Children's Story was entitled "Handling Life.%' The choir rendered an anthem ac- companied by the organist Miss Agnes Bray. The sermon was entitled "That All May Be One." Things that divide people often receive more attention than they really deserve. There will be no Sunday School Sunday June 19 owing to the anniversary. Sunday School members are asked to be there at 10:50 to line up for service. Youth Group members are reminded that there will be a barbecue Thursday June 16 at 6:45 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Pym. Bring your own food to cook. Mrs. Ross Ballantyne welcomed everygne and read a poem "Are You Listening?" We sang, "O Master Let Me Walk." Gladys Miller read the Scripture Lesson. A piano solo "Whispering hope" was played by Mrs. Ross Ballan- tyne which was much enjoyed. Mrs. Barry J. Miller and Gladys Miller received the of fering with prayer by Mrs. Ballantyne. A reading "Building Personality" by Gladys Miller. Mrs. Lloyd Ballantyne gave a reading "Environment". Mrs. Ross Ballantyne in- troduced Mrs. Walter Creery who is a social worker for the Perth Children's Aid. She is also on the Board of Directors for Optimism Ilouse in Strat- ford. Mrs. Creery showed a film To Have and To Hold. After the film there was a question and answer period. Mrs. Barry J. Miller thanked Mrs. Creery and presented her with a gift of money. The first part of the meeting was dos- ed with the singing of "Amaz- ing Grace." Mrs. Ken Duncan, the president thanked the pro- gram committee and Mrs. Creee6j.•, Mrt;. Dtifv6in gave a reading "Friendship". The usual business was closed with the singing of "The Day Thou Gayest" and prayer. Group U served lunch along with the hostess Mrs. William Rowcliffe. • Personals Sympathy of the communi- ty is extended to the family and relatives of the late Den- nis Passmore who passed away, Sunday. Derock was in charge of the service.. Rev. Braby Stratford and former rectors Rev. Lyle Bennett read the Lessons and Rev. Mary. Mills. Glencoe assisted with serving Holy Communion. At the close of the very im- pressive service the ladies of the congregation served refreshments. Many old friends enjoyed a friendly chat.' Mrs. Earl Atkinson and Miss Dane Phillips were lunch guests Thursday with Mrs. Mary Davis. Sunday afternoon Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Davis and Mrs. Mary Davis visited the Millard Gorge Funeral Home, London to pay their, respects to the late llenry Mullins. Ile is survived by his widow, Doris i-lfodgrns I Mullins and one daughter Ruth Ann 1'hillips.. The funeral was held Monday. HUGH teottpa The 32nd annual Morena reunion was held Sunday at the Orange Lodge hall in Har- mony near Stratford, with around 40 in attendance. Sports were in charge of Marilyn and Bill Jeffery. A candy scramble was held for all. Childrens pace winners in- cluded Danny Jeffery, Jeremy and Billy Jeffery, Michelle Morenz and Laurie Detlor. The childrens balloon d -op throw was won by Bob La Croix. Adults throwing darts at balloons was won by Isabel Bushfield for ladies, and Bill Jeffery for men. Relay games played were throwing bean bags in a six quart basket, won by Ann Moreirz team; dropping a clothes pin in a bottle won by Isabel Bushfield's team. Guessing games were to identify a grocery item, won by Gloria Martins popcorn kernels in a jar, Fly Harold Jeffery; beans in a jar, Clara Wilson; weight of watermelon, Shirley Kirkpatrick; ladies kick shoe won by Ann Morenz; men's kick shoe, Bill Jeffery Jr. Special prizes awarded: coming farthest distance, Mr. and Mrs. Vic Johnson of Union Lake, Michigan; birth- day closest to June 12; Helen Detla'r: youngest married couple, Debbie and Harold Jeffery, 7 years; longest mar- ried couple, Les and Marjorie Adams, 52 years; youngest child Jeremy, son of Bill and Marilyn Jeffery; oldest man attending, Bill Stephen, Clin- ton; oldest lady, Mrs. Gertie Bushfield, Stratford. After a delicious smorgasbord supper the elec- tion of officers was held. UCW meets at Greenway By ANNE WALPER Twenty-two ladies attended the June meeting of the Greenway U C.W. which was field in The—Sadly- School Room of the church on Wednesday afternoon. Gertie Rock was hostess. Shirley Eagleson and Anne Walper were in charge of the worship service which began with the playing of "The Church in the Wildwood" by Olive Steeper. The theme for the meeting was "Sowing God's Message". The scripture, was "The Parable of the Sower". A hymn was sung followed by prayer. The reading "Take Time Out for Spring Heart - cleaning" was given. Several - other seasonable poems were read, followed by the singing of the hymn "The Beautiful Garden of Prayer". This part of the meeting was closed with "A Gaelic Bless- ing and turned over to the president for the business. After the reports of the secretary and treasurer had been given, Martha Geromette read a thank you note from Rev. Harley Mgore who has returned from the hospital. Final preparations were made for the ham and strawberry supper which will be held Saturday, June 18. The offering was given and one member visited the Bir- thday Bank. Following the meeting a tasty lunch was served by Jean Hutchinson and Evelyn Curts assisted by the hostess.
