The speaker was Deaconess Margery Smith of London who spoke on Confess- ing Our Faith. She asked the questions, "What has this to do with us today? with the U.C.W? and with each person personally?" The answers are in decisions made in ac- tions, and in words, all of which portray the depth of our love for Jesus. Thinking of the familiar stories of Martha and Mary in the New Testa- ment, she spoke of the dif- ferent ways they confessed their faith each using her own gifts and means of expression. Christian Development in- cludes using our faith through our gifts, not only in the U.C.W. but reaching out beyond the church into the community. Mrs. Smith was !:,Inked by Mrs. Helen Scane • presented with an ar- .: rat flower arrangement. i'afore the guest spoke, Mrs. Myra and Miss Melanie Lovell of Kippen' sang that beautiful number, I Come to the Garden Alone accom- panied by Mrs. Mary Broad - foot at the piano.
