sity of Guelph. Alan
received his Honours
Bachelor of Science in
Agriculture majoring in
Agricultural Economics.
He is the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Elmer Powe, Cen-
tralia and a former stu-
dent at South Huron
District High School. Alan
has returned to the fami-

NURSING GRAD — Susan
Chapman, Exeter recently
graduated on the Dean's
Honor List from the
Bachelor of Science Nurs-
ing Degree programme at
the University of Western
Ontario. She has accepted
a position in the Intensive
Care Unit at University
Hospital, London. Susan is
the daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. James Chapman.24c

Ducharme graduated in

College of Applied Arts
and Technology with a
diploma in the two-year
Business - Data Processing
Program. A former stu-

Dean's Award Winner for
her program. Mary -Lynn is
the daughter of Gerard
and Mary Ducharme, RR 2

Randy is the son of
Marlene and Gerry Par-

ment position with
McConnell Nurseries Inc.

Susan McCaffrey was call-
ed to the bar at the Law
Society of Upper Canada
Convocation on April 7 at
Osgood Hall, Toronto. Ms.
McCaffrey is a former
South Huron District High
School student and receiv-
ed her Masters degree in
English from University of
Western Ontario. Sue is
the daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Roland McCaffrey of
Kingston, formerly of Ex-
eter. She and her husband
Donald Robinson reside in
Toronto where Sue is a
partner in the law firm of
MacLeod, McCaffrey and

Summor plans well underway
Registration for the sum-
mer sports and play program
will take place on Thursday
June 30 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m,
at the South Huron Rec.
Centre.
Registration for the "Bert
and Ernie Club" will be $1
and the sports program is 82.
This registration covers only
the first week of the program
but we need to know numbers
during the first week to round
up equipment and supplies so
please pre -register for week
one. The program runs Tues-
day through Friday from 9:30
12:00 and 1:00 - 3:30 p.m.
Registration for lessons at
Stephen Township pool will be
held tonight June 15 from 7:00
- 9:00 p.m. at J.A.D. McCur-
dy Public School. Lessons this
year will cost $20. for a three
week session and sessions
start Monday, July 4.
We are also offering adult
aqua -fit and are hoping to
organize a swim team this
summer. Aqua -fit will cost $14
per two week session and
swim team fee is $10 a
youngster for the summer.
We are still looking for
more people for aqua -fit and
swim team in Exeter. Anyone
interested should sign up at
the Rec Centre.
Exeter pool will open for
public swimming on Monday
June 27 (weather permitting) .
Next week is senior citizens
week and ,the Exeter group
have some events lined up in
celebration. An ad appears
elsewhere in this edition
listing some of the activities
planned.
The Martins and Down's
Circus is fast appraoching on
July 1. Two shows will be held
a 6:00 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. and
advance tickets are available
at the Rec Centre for 83.00 per
person. At the box office tney
sell for $3.50 per child and
$4.00 per adult so purchase
your tickets now!!
