Council dealt at length with the 1983 budget finally ap- proving the township mill rate at 64.02. In 1982 the township rate was 64.45 mills. We then went to the barn to try our judging skills by judging horses and sheep. After coming back into the house, we finished organiza- tion of the 4H fun day. The fun day is open to all 411 Horse and Pony .members. When you come, be sure to have some identification to prove that you are in a 411 group. There will also be a small admission price at the gate. There were 26 members and their guests as well as mothers of the congregation and their guests. All sat down to a delicious supper. Stacey Rader proposed a toast to the mothers and her mother, Nancy Rader, made a toast to all daughters present. Mrs. Florence Martene presided for the business. The Altar Guild reported 29 calls and several phone calls. The new Guild is Helen Nadiger and Mrs. Harry Hayter. Two birthday, one sympathy and two get well cards were sent out. Group 2 is in charge of the birthday party at the Blue Water Rest Home, June 14. The Aid will serve cookies and drinks at vacation Bible School. A pot luck dinner will be served August 7 for the 110th anniversary of Zion Lutheran Church. Mrs. Lorne Becker, Mrs. Florence Martene and Mrs. Mayo Melleeke gave suitable readings.
