Replying to
film critics
Dear Sir:
in reply to the article in last
weeks paper. "Parents
Critical of Filni Seen At focal
High School", i would like to
give my views of the film.
I am a grade 12 student at
this so called local high school
and I think there is nothing
wrong with knowing all about
our bodies and the facts of
lit( .
If that film was such a por-
no flick why don't they save it
for stag parties'?
Some kids are afraid to ask
their parents questions of
their bodies for fear their
parents will get upset or
angry. At school you can
discuss it and don't feel like a
stranger .
Some -parents are afraid to
discuss matters such as these
and therefore the child
doesn't get the education
he/she needs.
if kids have to find out
about sex. isn't it better to
learn it first. than 10 go out
and experience what you
don't know and become
pregnant?
if you ask me, I think the
parents are thinking of
themselves and being too "old
fashioned". Come on guys
times are changing. '
P.S. By the way it wasn't a
family studies film, it was a
P.E. and health film. i wish
the parents would at least
,know what they're fighting
about.
