Alpha Pi chapter
have busy month
March 1, the ladies of Alpha
Pi visited the Lambton
Heritage Museum where they
were given a tour. The ladies
found this outing very in-
teresting. After the tour of the
museum they returned
to' the home of Nancy
Chambers where they com-
pleted the program on
"Home," which was
presented by Sandra Camp-•
bell and Linda Freiter.
Members met at the home
of Ann Lorento on March 15
for the election of officers for
1983-84. The results of the
elections are as follows: past
president, Sharon McNeilly;
president, Sharon Lynn; vice
president, Sandra Campbell;
secretary, Marion Snow, and
treasurer, Linda Freiter. A
few items of business was
discussed and a luncheon was
enjoyed by all.
March 25 members of Beta
Signa Phi had their Annual
Daffodil Sale with proceeds
going to the Cancer Society.
The program "Use of
Leisure" was presented by
Ann Lorento and Joan
Morgan at the home of San-
dra Rowe, April 5. The guest
speaker for the night was Ann
Lorento's husband Don.
Don gave a very interesting
talk on Telescopes and the dif-
ferent stars and planets that

April 19, Alpha Pi met at
the home of Joan Morgan. A
program of "Estates" was
presented by Susan Moore.
The guest speaker for the
evening was George Godbolt.
A very interesting talk on
Wills and Insurance was
presented. Alpha Pi's woman
of the year was announced by
director Mrs. Lillian Camp.
bell. The award was
presented to Sharon Lynn.
Sharon received a tiara, a
Woman of the Year pin and a
yellow rose.
April '17 the families of
Alpha Pi members spent a
Sunday afternoon at Vanastra
swimming pool. A pot luck
supper followed and was en-
joyed by all.
Members of Beta Sigma
Phi Sorority from Exeter,
Clinton, Goderich celebrated
Founder's Day April 26 at
Goderich township recreation
hall in Ilolmesville. New -
members of the chapters
were presented with the
Ritual of the Jewels
ceremony. The tables were
decorated with ' 11ow roses,
name tags and gift packs for
each member.
The guest speaker for the
night was Janet Amas, Blyth.
Janet directs and writes plays
for the Blyth theatre. "First
Lady of the Year Award" was
presented to Barb Desjardins,
Goderich. Mrs. Desjardins
was honored for her volunteer
work with the terminally ill
in this area.
Mrs. Desjardins was
presented with a plaque and
gift in appreciation of her ser-
vice. Door prizes from each
chapter were won by many
members. The evening closed
with the closing ritual led by
Elaine Bogart, Exeter.

Hear of fund-raising success, purchase
HospitaI auxiliary •Ieet new officers
The annual meeting of
South Huron Hospital Aux-
iliary was held on May 10.
President Leone Brock
presided over the business
meeting.
The Auxiliary have pur-
chased 73 new chairs for the
patient's rooms at a cost of
approximately $15,500.
A very successful rum-
mage sale was held on April
28, with a net profit of over
x,000.00.
The nominating committee
presented their slate of of-
ficers for the year 1983-84 and
after being accepted, the new
executive was installed by
past president Mrs. Earl
Russell.
