on snails
The Huron County Health
.Unit has issued an alert
regarding potentially
dangerous 'canned snails.
Canned under the Christie
brand, the snails are a pro-
duct of Taiwan and were
stolen from a Toronto
warehouse while under
detention.
There are two sizes, 115
grams and 125 grams. Poor
seams could cause micro
organism growth. Possible
variations in numerical codes
are SABN--NY--2811 and
SABV-NY-2815.
If any of these cans are
found or purchased bythe
consumer, notify the Huron
County Health Unit
(1-800-265-4252) or London
Health Protection Branch
(679-4125) as soon as possible.
Students
seek jobs
With warm weather ap-
proaching and lasting, peo-
ple's thoughts will be turning
towards spring cleaning, yard
cleanup, gardening, planting
and casual farm labour.
The Canada Employment
Centre for Students have
many students able and will-
ing to work now on a full or
part-time basis.
Many post -secondary
students have completed their
school terms and are looking
for summer employment.
These students have a varie-
ty of skills and backgrounds
to offer which wouldcomple-
ment many employers'
operations.
Secondary students have
expressed interest in part-,
time and odd jobs until they
complete the present school
year.
So, area home owners and
farmers. do not hestiate to
take advantage of available
resources. The Student
Employment Centre aid you
in getting an early start. If

To debate
new bill
A joint meeting will be held
on Bill C653 sponsored by
Bruce and Huron County's
federation of Agriculture and
the Huron -Bruce Farm Sur-
vival Association. This
meeting will be held on Thurs-
day, May 5, 1983 at F.E.
Madill Secondary School,
Wingham, at 8 p.m. for a
social time with call to order
, at 8:30 p.m.
Bill C-653 is the Act to
Amend the Farmers'
Creditors Arrangement Act.
This Bill was brought forward
as a private members bill by
Ralph Ferguson on March 16,
where it was approved in
principle then sent to the
agriculture committee. At
this time it will receive all -
party debate and scrutiny and
at this time amendments will
be made to the bill.
To explain and answer
questions on the Bill C-653
there will be a panel of OFA
Executive Brigid Pyke,
Toronto -Dominion Bank
representative Larry Thomp-
son and also a representative
of a large business in the
area.
