The Swat team scored five
points Friday night to win the
league championship of the
Exeter mixed dart league
with a total of 101 points.
Finishing in second place
were the Wubbu with 96 points
followed by MI in the Family
at 83 points and the Scotties
with 82 points.
The playoffs get underway
Friday night with the first and
second place teams meeting
while the third meets the
fourth.
Wayne Parkinson won 47
games for the men and Betty
ti Bowerman led the ladies with
28. In high scores the winners
were Terry Heywood at 171.
and Garry Campbell ;with a
156.
In takeouts, Gerry Lawson
was the best for the men with
114 and Irene Jackson topped
the ladies with 94.
For spare darters, Duff
Hothbauer won 29 games and
Elsie McDonald took 10. For
high scores Jean Simpson
chalked up 126 and Harvey
Hillman hit 160. Bob Hedley
with 71 and Dorothy Reynolds
with 41 were tops intake -outs.

mark .of 8.75. not falling off.

This is Patterson's second
win on the beam. In 1980 she
was the intethmediate OFSSA
champion. Because of her
high placing she must com-
pete Senior A next year.
Her parents will sign her in-

was competing in her fourth
all -Ontario, championship.
could feel for, little Lee
O'Rourke who - was a
substitute for the junior
beam. Late the night before
the competition it was
'discovered that Lee could
compete. Lee overcame the
pressure of last minute
preparation, a first OFSSA
appearance and exuberant
parents to. execute a solid
beam routine.
Her mark of 7.65 placed her
.fifteenth of :32 competitors.
For having little chance to
practise her routine she land-
ed almostall of her difficulty
with skill. This exposure is
good experience for Lee who
will be ready to-shkle' next
Season.

ing slo-pitch or entering a
team should contact the Rec
Centre. We are looking at the
possibility of setting up -a
league Sunday afternoons or
evenings. •
