Columbus and their wives en-
joyed a social evening last
Thursday, St. Patrick's Day.
Music for a dance was sup-
plied by Mozart's Melody
Makers. Lucky winner of
share the wealth was Peter
Wiersma of Parkhill, $158.00.
Two consolation prizes of
$25.00 went to Gordon Nobel,
Seaforth and Eldon O'Brien,
Clinton.

children which is supervised dur-
ing the worship service.

C.W.L. meeting following
mass for vocations. A dona-
tion was made of $200.00 to the
Y.T.A. towards playground
equipment.
A motion was made to send
two delegates to the conven-
tion in Windsor on May 10 and
11.
A total of $76.70 was col-
lected at the World Day of
Prayer. Family -Life con-
vener Maria Mathonia gave
some helpful hints on ways of
storing and using Ieftover
food, so as not to waste
anything, and showed us a
few Easter decorations she
had made out of egg shells.
A total of $330.00 has been
realized so far from the New
to You Store for each church
in the community. All were in
favour of keeping it going for
another term. The parish
dance on April 8 in Dashwood
was discussed. Group leaders
are to sell tickets at $8.00 per
couple.
Sixteen people made a
parish renewal at St. Boniface
from Friday to Sunday'under
the' guidance of Father
Mooney (this being our se-
cond renewal weekend).
Winners of the door prizes
were Mrs. Maria Kenda and
Mrs. Theresa Van Raay.
Guest speaker, Michael
O'Connor, showed a very in-
teresting and informative
film called, "First-aid
action".

Movies were enjoyed on
Monday evening followed by
refreshments.
On Tuesday afternoon, we
were happy to have Mr.

piano by one of our residents,
Mrs. Margaret Pfaff.
We regret that Mrs. Helen
Schultz is a patient in South
Huron hospital, Exeter.

A get together meeting of
the 4-11 Horse and Pony Club
was held Saturday, 'March
12th, at the farm of John
Gieger near Zurich. Leaders
Ray Rasenberg and John
Gieger, are disappointed with
the low turn -out this year.
The leaders started the
meeting with elections.
Sharon Thiel is president Ian
Thiel is vice-president;
secretary is - Caroline
Tickner; and Tim Teeter is
press reporter. The small
group was then given the
books and information that
will be needed in the coming
months.
The next meeting will be
held at Gerald Thiel's farm on
Monday March 28th at 7:00
p.m. just north of Zurich on
the 10 and 11 Concessions. All
new members will be
welcome.
