Nursery schoolers enjoy puppet
The Hensall Branch of
Huron County Public Library
entertained Hensall nursery
pupils to a Puppet Show on
Tuesday; eight three-year
olds came in the forenoon and
fourteen four-year olds came
in the afternoon. Hensall
Library hours ijave been
changed on Saturdays to
9:00 a.ni. - 12:00 noon instead
of 2:00 - 5:00 p.m.

conducted worship at
Queensway Nursing Home
last week accompanied at the
piano by Mrs. Eric Luther.
Ladies of the Zurich Men-
nonite Church entertained
residents at bingo on Monday
which everyone enjoyed.

to University Hospital Lon-
don, where •he is receiving
treatment.
Mr. Sim Roobol was taken
by ambulance to South Huron
Hospital, Exeter last week.
His many friends wish him a
speed recovery.
The friends of Mr. Roy Con-
sitt, a patient in South Huron
Hospital, Exeter wish him a
complete recovery.
Mr. and Mrs. Lorne Archer
have returned from a plea-
sant holiday in Florida.
Mr. and Mrs. Cecil
Pullman, London visited with
friends here on Sunday.

home on Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs. Campbell
Eyre spent the weekend in St.
Thomas attending the silver
wedding anniversary of their
son and daughter-in-law Mr.
and Mrs. Lawrence Eyre.
United Church Service
The United Church con-
gregation felt richly blessed
on Sunday morning when
Marilyn Zivkovic of Exeter
was soloist and brought a
message through music in her
solo, "Great is Thy
Faithfulness" and "Take Up
Thy Cross". Mrs. Belva Fuss
was organist and the Senior
choir led the singing. Mr.
McDonald's message was
"Our Fear of Death" taking
as his text "I am the resurrec-
tion and the Life, saith the
Lord."
Bill Fuss greeted the wor-
shippers and Ross Sararas,
Cecil Pepper, Alf Ross and
Steven Corbett were the
ushers. The children's story
was taken again from the
brown -paper bag and using a
pair of binoculars and a Bible
told of how we can bring God
closer to us through Christ.
Next Sunday will be Youth
Sunday in the church and the
show at library
Scouts, Cubs, Beavers, Ex-
plorers and Messengers will
be holding their annual
church parade.
Rev. McDonald visited Sun-
day afternoon with his mother
in Listowel Memorial
Hospital.
The Bible Fellowship Group
met on Tuesday morning with
an excellent attendance. They
continued to study "The
Parables of Jesus"
The Junior Hi. Group met
on Friday evening and en-
joyed a recreation night of
floor hockey followed by a
Pizza Party. The next
meeting will be held on Sun-
day, February 6. All young
people grade eight and up are
invited to attend.
The annual congregational
meeting will be held on
Wednesday evening at 8 p.m.
Minor hockey
The Hensall Atoms won two
games last week, Monday
night in Zurich and against
Huron Park at home Wednes-
day night. The victory over
Zurich was close until the
midpoint of the game when
Hensall- scored three
unanswered goals to win 4 to
Wednesday night at home.
the Hensall Atoms fought
hard to maintain their race
for first place by defeating
Huron Park 4 to 3. The Hen-
sall team is now three points
behind first place league
leading Elma-Logan.
The real contest will be held
Wednesday night at 6:30 at
Hensall when Elma-Logan
Atoms come to face-off with
Hensall boys. The four -coach
system agree that teamwork
with good passing and
everyone doing fast back
checking will give the Hensall
Atoms a good chance
An Atom tournament held
in Seaforth on Friday and
Saturday produceda win Fri-
day night against Tavistock
and a loss on Saturday to
Ripley.
The Hensall Pee-Wees gain-
ed another victory in a close
5-4 win over Huron Park.
Huron Park scored first with
goals by Steve Watson and
Mike Colin. Hensall rebound-
ed with two goals by Scott
Bell and one each from Rob
Volland and Brian Moir.
Huron Park tied the game
with goals by Steve Warson
and Shawn Finkheiner.
However, Brian Moir gave
