The students council has communicated with area churches and organizations to publicize their efforts. Student council president Jamie Chaffe stresses that the service is strictly volunteer, students will not accept payment for the jobs. Students will be available in the late morning and early afternoons during spares and lunch. They will be available for window washing, vacuum - Seniors hold • group session At the regular senior citizens group meeting it was decided to have a committee investigate various nursing homes in the area. The com- mittee will report back at which time the group will recommend which home is most satisfactory for Exeter district. Jamie Chaffe from the Students' Council said there are many- students who will give time to help seniors with jobs eg. - cleaning windows, shovelling snow, etc. The Katimavik group would like to visit seniors in the area and several of the group said they would be glad of a visit. A euchre is planned for January 20 at 2 p.m. in the Legion. Ladies met at Crediton By MRS. PETER MARTIN The ladies of the United Church Women met in the Sunday School rooms Thurs- day evening. Dorene Lightfoot and Nola Foist were in charge of the worship ser- vice. They chose -the New Year as their theme. Gloria Martin sang two solos. Liela Finkbeiner provided the piano accompaniment. The business was opened with prayer by President Marie Fydenchuk. Roll call was taken and treasurers report given. Dues were paid. A supper will be prepared for the senior choir Thursday evening at 6:30. The first euchre sponsored by the Crediton Womens In- stitute will be held January 29 at 8:00 p.m. in the Crediton town hall. The Crediton and District Social Club held their meeting Monday evening in the town hall. It was decided they will take a bus trip to Rochester on the 21-23 of May weekend.
