new songs in French; Jingle
Bells and Silent Night. Some
more songs we sang were

Kings, and Frosty the
Snowman. Christina

string art and so far they have
done two of them. Some peo-
ple are thinking of doing
another one..•
Skating - In the winter
season, our school is planning
on having a skating period
every Thursday. It will be in
two groups. The first group
will be from 1- 2 p.m. and the
second goes from 2 - 3 p.m.
Buses will take us from the
school to the Stephen
township arena in Huron
Park. Our classes will be tak-
ing turns going each week. I
am sure everyone is going to
have fun. • -Mona Brand.
Floor Hockey - Mr.

for our school floor hockey

' Turkey dinner
Tuesday, December 26,
McCurdy tried something
new. For the first time, they
had a turkey dinner for the
entire student body.
Everyone enjoyed the turkey,
dressing, potatoes, relishes,
peas and carrots, apples,
cheese and milk. At $1.25 the
price was right. We would like
to thank the staff and.
volunteers who organized and
prepared the meal for us.
After the meal, Mr. Fraser
led in singing Christmas
carols. Then Santa and his
helper arrived to distribute
candy canes. The afternoon
was then filled with movie
watching.
Grades five, six and eight
even got to see the movie,
