It is the time when school suddenly becomes unbearable. The High School students are lucky as most of them are out of school for the summer. Elementary students who have to attend until the end of June. are not so fortunate. Brenda Bullock is spen- ding this week camping with Cheryl Lynne. Mr and Mrs. Wilmer McLinchey. formerly of Greenway. celebrated their fifty-third Wedding Anniver- sary on Saturday. Congratulations! Several people from here visited Clarke and Doris Hodgins of Lieury on Sunday and offered their con- gratulations on their twenty- fifth wedding anniversary. Many people attended both suppers held at Greenway this week. Strawberry and Ham suppers were held at Grace Anglican Church on Wednesday and at the United Church on Saturday evening. Neighbours. relatives and friends attended open house at Gladys and Ivan Hodgins farm in honour of his mothers seventieth birth- day. Her daughters. Alma. Mrs. John Hood of London and Anna Mrs. Grant Langford of Ingersol were also present as well as her six grandchildren. Mr. and Mrs. Ron Sayeau and baby spent the weekend with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Ross Brown. The Wind-up: Middle -age is whenever you go on a trip you pack a sweater. GRAD — Carolyn Lagerwerf, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Lagerwerf, Parkhill, received her Bachelor of Mathematics degree on May 30 at the University of Waterloo spring convocation. Carolyn hos accepted a position as systems engineer at Canada Systems Group, Calgary, Alberta. She is a graduate of North Middlesex District High School, Parkhill. Staffa WI to Guelph By MRS. J. TEMPLEMAN STAFFA Staffa Womens Institute members and friends en- joyed a bus trip last week to the Guelph, Cambridge area, where they visited the miniature gardens. the Belgium nurseries, a leather outlet, silknit, Genesee shoes and the Emporium Family Fashions. Before returning home, supper at the Knotty Pine Inn was enjoyed by all. Thanks to Mrs. Dalton Smale and Mrs. Norman Harburn for planning the day. Harry McCaughey, Listowel visited for a few days with Mr. and Mrs. Robert Mc Caughey. Staffa. Mr. and Mrs. John Miller, were guests at the Ellis - llodgert wedding in the Thames Road United Church on Saturday. Cromarty Scouts and Cubs enjoyed their annual camp out at Wildwood Park on the weekend. Mr. and Mrs Robert Mauer, Exeter visited on Sunday evening with Mr. and Mrs. John Templeman. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Norris, visited on Sunday with Mrs. Bessie Meir, Windsor.
