Guest speaker was Rev. Glenn Wright of White Oaks Church, London. A few families from Brinsley United Church attended the anniversary at Carlisle Church Sunday. HUGH MORENZ About 45 attended the an- nual Ratz reunion held Sun- day at Shipka Community Centre. Guests attended from Lambeth, Stratford, Delaware , London and Toronto. All enjoyed a smorgasbord picnic supper. Childrens sports were con- ducted by Dorothy Ratz and Louise Brandon. After the rain cleared the children played ball. The same officers were re- elected for 1982. President - Mrs . Alma Godbolt, secretary treasurer - Mrs. Olive Ratz. It was voted to hold next year's picnic at Mitchell. The oldest lady attending today, Mrs. Gertie Bustfield, is a sister of the late, great, Howie Morenz, who played hockey with Montreal Canadiens. Personals Marg and Jim Sweitzer held a family gathering birthday party for their daughter, Amy, for her 6th birthday, Sunday. They visited Mrs. Kingma's mother, Mrs. E. Talma- Stielstra in Friesland who is 87 years of age, and is grand- mother of 69 great. great. grandchildren, and is in good health. They also visited John's brother, Mr. and Mrs. A. Kingma and family at Drachten, Friesland, and his sister, and husband Mr. and Mrs. J. Jellesma in Beck by Nijmegen. Mr. Jellesma was ill and passed away. and the Kingma's attended his funeral. Fermon and Leota Snyder visited Sunday evening in Grand Bend with Lorne and Loreen Devine. Fermon and Leota Snyder. from this area were on the bus trip June 8 to Niagara Falls, that was sponsored by the Beaconaires Club of Grand Bend. Mrs Harry Caldwell and Mrs. Stirling Graham spent the weekend at Grand Bend and attended the picnic in Forest of the '66 South Pacific Tour. rained out and is now scheduled for June 25 Earl Vincent is home again after spending some time in Strathroy hospital. Michelle Vincent who has been hospitalized this past several weeks with a broken leg in St. Joseph's hospital. London, returned to her home, here, last Thursday. She is getting around with her leg in a cast and on crutches. Cliff and Velma Russell visited Friday evening at Brucefield with Tom.
